30km into London, twice

Doing a big event in a few weeks time - more to come on that later - so needed to get some miles in the legs and make sure that I am ready for that challenge. Walked into London both days, first day into Tower Bridge and then into The City, with a stop by the Movember office and then on the second day it was to the Tower again and then off to Canary Wharf.

What really struck me was how straightforward everything is to get to in London and how relatively close everything is. I was really lucky with the weather both days (hasn't April / May been lovely so far!) but the walks were brilliant. All the green spaces there are make it ideal to get out and have a chat with someone, and in the case of talking with men, shoulder to shoulder works well as does doing an activity!

Very happy with how the training is going so far, with the pace of the walking and with how the knee is feeling, long may that continue! And of course it is always good to finish of a long walk with a lovely Bread Ahead pastry or doughnut!
